Wedding Festivals

I've been mentioning it in my last few posts, but now I'm officially announcing my exhibition in the Wedding Festivals show, Saturday, February 24. The location is the Palmetto Expo Center in Greenville from 10am -3pm. This is the largest wedding show of the year (I've exhibited at the summer & fall shows), but this show will prove to be the best. More vendors and fun than you can imagine - a wonderful one-stop-shop for all of your wedding planning needs. Even if you have a great idea of what you want for your special day, it's never a bad thing to stop by and see all of the awesome booth designs & what each vendor has to offer. Speaking of booth designs, I'm very excited about mine, and I've worked really hard on it to get everything how I want it. It's definitely going to be eye-catching! Stop by and see me- whether you're a client of mine or you're just looking. I'd love to meet & chat with you about your ideas! I'll also be offering a special for the show - beginning on February 24 & lasting until March 10. But I can't tell you what it is - you have to come by and see me! I'll be at booth #139 (it's on the FAR left corner from where you enter the Expo Center. Don't miss it! I'll see you there!

Evan's 1 Year Old!

I've been slammed this past week with getting everything ready for the Wedding Festivals Show coming up in February - I haven't had time until now to finish editing Evan's photo shoot from last Sunday. He just celebrated his first birthday, complete with a football-inspired party. Although i wasn't there for the party, I did come over to the Kemper's home to shoot Evan without all of the guests around. He wasn't in the happiest of moods, but he did absolutely fine, and I got some wonderful shots of him. Evan's mom Amy has scheduled a 4-session shoot throughout the year to keep up with Evan & the rest of the family. Give me a buzz if you'd be interested in something like this, which is a custom-designed version of my current portrait Specials. Meanwhile, here's the slideshow. Enjoy, and Happy Birthday, Evan!

RockStar Weekend!

I had so much fun this weekend...
Saturday morning I met up with Amanda to shoot her boudoir session. She's getting married in Philly (she & her fiance are originally from there), but she wanted to give him a little present before they got officially hitched. She did a great job, and I'm not posting any shots from the session until after she's left for her wedding in February, so that way I prevent the urge for peeking!
However, on the other hand, after the bousoir session, I met up with Natalya for a sexy bridal fashion shoot at an undisclosed location, where I had unlimited access to three very sexy & hot HOTRODS:) I'm a sucker for cars like these, and they only accented Natalya's natural beauty. She and Dmitriy in May, and I simply can't wait to share their day. They are two very happy and very much in-love with each other. Meanwhile, here's a few of my faves, as well as a link to the WEBSHOW, which ALL of you MUST check out! Enjoy! And thanks Natalya, you rock:)

More Album Choices

Hey party people... I'm getting really tired of having to choose and pick between which albums I'm going to offer this year, so I've decided to offer most of them. I've changed the pricing so that literally all of the albums are the same price.. you just have to pick which one(s) you like. I will have an update on the availability for you to view samples of all of these albums soon. Just know that it's an awesome change for me to be able to allow you to pick what you want, instead of limiting your options.:) Stay tuned.

Janet & Mike

I love these two. They are so sweet. We met at Miliken for a late afternoon shoot, and everything went pretty well. I'm looking forward to their wedding in March... which is going to be so awesome!
Here are some teasers as well as a link to their WEBSHOW. Enjoy!

Kicking off the Wedding Season...

The past week has been an awesome start to what will become a milestone in my business. The past week has yielded a tremendous response from my new website, as well as inquiries & bookings for the 2007 (and a few for the 2008) wedding season. I've already made some new friends, and I'm looking forward to working with you to help make your wedding dreams come true. Business has elevated within the past few weeks alone, and I've had to already turn away several brides for many popular dates of the year (I hate to do that - but my duties are to the bride(s) who have booked me already, as I only photograph one wedding per day). This is why it's so important to book as soon as you choose your photographer. If you delay, your date may not be available when you check back. To those of you who I've already met or communicated with, the offers mentioned still stand, as well as the listed prices I gave you. Please contact me if you wish for me to photograph your wedding. Meanwhile, my prices have recently increased, however, I am still maintaining my discount of $200 off your total package price IF you book before January 20, 2007. After this time, dates will book very quickly, as I will be preparing for the 2007 Wedding Festivals Show, which wil be held Saturday, February 24, 2007 from 10am-3pm at the Palmetto Expo Center. Any procrastinating brides who have yet to book their photographer will not want to miss the show. It will prove to be an amazing day! *** Be sure to check back here for specials I may be offering closer to the show!!!*** Until next time! Blessings, Amy

New Year, New Changes...

Ahh, New Year's... a brand new start to what will be a fantastic year! I am looking forward to making memories with all of the brides & grooms who have chosen me to shoot their wedding, and all of the new families I will befriend this year as well. This is going to be terrific! On top of that, I can't tell you how excited I am to announce my Spankin' New Website (as well as a fresh, new header for my BLOG)! I had originally planned for a New Year's Day debut, but things got put off an extra day, so everything should be up by the end of the day on Tuesday, January 2nd. The Story Behind the New Site: I normally wouldn't be changing my site, but I actually was lucky enough to win my interface from the incredible BluDomain. These guys are awesome, and will certainly hook you up if you are in need of a fresh new look. The interfaces are extremely sleek, very sexy, and are less than $1000 to get you going. There are always contests and sales going on, so please go check them out! This site will still feature a lot of attributes from my old one, such as gallery slideshows, etc., but will also showcase TWO sites (one for weddings, one for portraits / lifestyle). You choose which site you enter from the splash page. Everything is basically a lot simpler and sleeker, easier to navigate. The investment page explains everything in detail, and includes a direct link to download a PDF price list. This will save time from me mailing out my info packets for you to receive all important information. Please feel free to check out my bio, as well as the jukebox (a little sample of my life's soundtrack). I'm so excited! To help celebrate, I'll be offering $200 off any pre-selected wedding package until Saturday, January 20, 2007. Please call me to get set up! Let's make some memories this year!

Happy Holidays!

WOW! It's been a busy year & the business has grown so much! I've made TONS of friends & had an immesureable amount of fun. I am so thankful for all the experiences I've been a part of, and I look forward to the upcoming experiences in the coming year. I'm going to be spending the remainder of the weekend finishing up last-minute shopping, and spending time with my family. I'll be checking email throughout the next week, but I won't officially be back until January 1st - when my NEW website is scheduled to launch. Be sure to check it out after you get in from spending all night partying:)
May you all have a fantastic holiday & a very prosperous new year!

Quick & Hot!

Just a couple of weeks are left in this wonderful year - and I'm offering you $200 off your 2007 Wedding Package price IF you book your date before December 31, 2006. Give me a buzz to get full pricing info! 864.529.1842. I'll be spending all of Saturday at "The Great Christmas Family Gathering" as well as taking a trip to McAdenville, NC to see all the town's lights & Christmas decor. David and Taelor have never been, so it's going to be exciting to share it with them! However, I'll still be answering calls & emails sporatically through the day & the rest of the weekend.

Caliente!

My boudoir sessions have been causing a stir lately, especially in the bridal community. These sultry portraits have been around for quite a while, but have only recently been gaining exposure and heightened interest in the local area. I think they are a fabulous expression of confidence and a romantic gesture of love. A lot of women are generally shy and self-conscious of their bodies to do this (mainly because of the dated, cheesy, and sometimes overly-graphic images they have seen by other photographers), but I can assure you that my sessions are casual, fun, and girly, you are in control of your comfort level, and on top of everything else, I capture you at your best angle, in the best lighting, so you are completely satisfied with the results, and so is the lucky recipient! Great as gifts, or on the contrary, a statement of independence & self-confidence. Consider this as your chance to be a little more bold or daring for yourself (as opposed to the slight pain and permanence of a tattoo), or if you just want to feel like a Victoria's Secret model for a day. Call for more info!

Upcoming Specials

Most of my inquiring brides and current portrait clients have received these in my info packets, but I thought I'd go ahead and share these specials with the rest of you out there. These are perfect portrait specials, available for vitually anyone - they include "A Year in Photos" special, which allows you a 1-hour session per month for a year, with TONS of extras (online & DVD slideshows, hi-res CDs, a custom album, print credit, and more)! This is an incredible value and the price is just $900 (a 40% savings from regular pricing). These sessions are available to be used for any combination (i.e, individuals, children, seniors, etc). The other 2 specials are HOT, and available just in time for Valentine's Day. These are both just $99 each, and you have a choice of the couples' session, or for those a little more daring, the boudoir session is a great option for giving your husband or boyfriend a special gift. Great for brides as well (and guys, this is even a great idea for a gift certificate for Christmas!) Keep in mind, these specials will expire on January 31, 2006 - in addition, the $99 sessions must be booked & scheduled before February 3, 2007, to ensure delivery of products. Here's the page that's creating all the buzz - (remember you can click on it to see it larger).

Jamie's Bridal Session

Jamie contacted me on The Knot in regards to bridal and boudoir photographs... she's getting married next weekend in Jamaica (which automatically makes me reminisce back a few months ago to my destination wedding on the beach...) Anyway, we had her boudoir session the night before (and those pictures will remain private until after her new hubby has seen them), and today we met at the Westin Poinsett in downtown Greenville for her bridal session. It was kind of difficult to get a lot of the shots I wanted, due to the overwhelming Christmas decor. Seeing how Jamie had a tropical bouquet, (which was the most beautiful bouquet I have seen yet) we had to improvise). I've agreed to have another session with her after the New Year, when all the decor is down. Meanwhile, I did manage to get some jaw-dropping shots of her today - she is so beautiful and very photogenic, so it was easy. Best of luck to you Jamie, and have FUN on your trip! We'll pick up where we left off after you get back!

Christmas Cards...

I've been so busy creating my custom Christmas cards for clients, I haven't even gotten a chance to send out my own to my family! These have been a great success for the holiday portrait season, and keep in mind, they are available for any other time of year or celebration as well!

Sadie...

As I mentioned in the previous post, we've gained an addition to our family. She is an 8 week old brindle Boxer, and she is the most adorable thing I have ever seen. She is such a good puppy (needless to say, she is "mama's little girl" and sleeps on my stomach or at my feet when I'm vegging on the couch). She is such a sweetie. Here are some pics - Enjoy!

Crash & Recharge...

Hi all... I've been so busy lately I haven't had time to post. I hope you all had a fantastic and blessed Thanksgiving. Taelor & I woke up early to watch the parade (a tradition of my own since I was little), and we drove down to my parents' house and met up them as well as my grandmother, "Nannie", as I've always called her, for some ham, turkey, homemade macaroni pie, green beans, brown rice (my favorite), cranberry sauce, rolls, and more! I snagged all the black friday ads from both Greenville & Spartanburg newspapers... debated whether I should get up that early, and later decided against it. David had to work that day, so I brought him home a plate, and proceeded to finish up a print order for a client (yes, I was working on a holiday). I have so much to be thankful for - my job, my home, my family, my amazing daughter and husband! I'm so blessed, and I thank God for that every day! Meanwhile, I must say, the past few weeks have been slammed with portrait sessions and orders, inquiries and meetings with brides... we even got a new puppy! (An adorable 8 week old Boxer puppy we've named Sadie). Yesterday after I picked Taelor up and got home, once I fixed dinner, took a shower, & put Tae to bed, I crashed on the couch at 8:30pm with Sadie. 8:30pm!!! Needless to say, I've been going and going and haven't had much time for myself, so I needed the sleep. Now that I'm well-rested, and ReCharged, I'm gearing up for the holidays (I've already wrapped every gift!), and for my boudoir session tomorrow with Jamie. She's getting married next week in Jamaica and is planning on giving these to her new hubby as a gift. I'm sure he'll have a smile on his face:) Meanwhile, keep those calls and emails coming! I'm never too tired to answer any questions!

The Driggers'

Amy was a referral from Amy Kemper (scroll down to view their teasers & webshow), and she was super excited to have her family portraits done. We met at Wofford for our cool, overcast day's session. The Driggers' have two kids, Graham, 4, and Beckett, 15 months. Oh, how adorable they were in their matching fall colors! We had a lot of fun letting the kids just be kids, and the session ran out just as the kids were getting a little exhuasted of being in front of the camera. I had an awesome time, and I hope you guys enjoy your webshow! Here are some teasers as well!

New bio pic

Well, in order to change my blog profile pic, I have to post it here, so here it is.. whoo hoo (it's also been updated on my website as well). I figured I should change the pic to stay up to date with my hair color these days! Who knows when I'll change it again!

The Lacey's

Amber contacted me immediately after seeing another family webshow and said "You are who I have been looking for!"... so we decided to meet at Furman on a cool, fall day. I brought my daughter, Taelor along as my assistant, as I usually do, when any kids are to be involved in family portraits. She and the Laceys' daughter, Savannah, were distracted by all the things to explore around campus. Meanwhile, I don't think I could have laughed any harder at Amber & her husband, Vernon. What a fantastic day!-- and MORE than enough pictures to prove it! Here is the webshow sneak peek, and a few previews below! Enjoy!

Tis' The Season...

For GREAT business! Although my original Fall Portrait Special has officially ended (as of Nov. 4th), the continued response is still huge! I just want to thank my current clients for the referrals, and my potential clients - you're going to be so happy! I'm really enjoying meeting all of you, getting to know your families, and making you loyal customers when it's all said and done. I know you and your families are going to love your photos, and I welcome you all to keep it coming! I've also seen a substantial jump in bridal inquiries this month as well. Remember my wedding special I have going right now! You still have a little time to lock in the 2006 rates for your 2007 wedding! I look forward to working with each and every one of you! Please don't hesitate to call me if you have any questions.

The Kemper's

I met Amy on MySpace. She was looking for a family photographer who could capture her family in a "different" way... so I was the lucky choice! I met her and her family, husband Nathan and adorable son Evan, in Spartanburg, and after a quick drive over to Wofford, we spent some time hanging out, and I let them be themselves, playing around and enjoying being a family. I had lots of fun, and I've made a new friend! Who says MySpace is always bad!? Here are a few shots from the day as well as a link to their Webshow. Enjoy!

The Senn's

I caught up with an old friend who had gotten married and had a beautiful baby girl since I had spoken to her. Needless to say a lot had changed, and what better way to celebrate new beginnings than a Fall family portrait session! I met them at their beautiful home and we drove to a local spot, popular in the area for family and bridal portraits. Here are a few samples below, as well as a link to their webshow with a few more highlights from the beautiful day! Thanks so much to Crystal & Jason for welcoming me into their home and allowing me to spend the afternoon with you and your daughter Ashlyn, who is truly adorable! Webshow

I've been so busy with so many things and new projects going on I haven't had a chance to post it! Well, here ya go!... (and I'm off to bed to catch more than my usual 5 hours of sleep).. got some portrait sessions tomorrow. I'll be back! Enjoy: Georgia & Zach's Wedding

Happy Halloween! (well, almost)

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays- not only because it allows me to act like the true child I am, but because it's also my daughter's BIRTHDAY! Since Halloween fell on a weekday this year, we celebrated it during the weekend at our favorite pizza joint, the Pizza Factory in Mauldin! She was a ballerina princess this year, and got TOTALLY hooked UP on the candy!:) Taelor also got her ears pierced in honor of her 7th birthday (wow.. saying that makes me realize how fast time truly flies)! I know how cliche it sounds but it really seems like yesterday when she was born. I remember every moment of the first week she was on this earth. SUCH a good baby! I was (and still am) very blessed..... Ah well,... on with it... This (was) our pumpkin. We always go for something scary. Celebrating. Oh,.. to be 7 again......

It's Up!

The new website (not to mention, new LOOK) is up and running now, after a week or so of headaches. I love it. I've played around with the colors a bit, and I think I've found a fit. We'll see how it goes. I'm working on new business cards and other branding media as you are reading this. Big things are on the way! Here are a couple of screenshots of the new site: Go check it out!:)

Changes are Brewing...

I'm sure any of you who have visited my official site within the past week have noticed a lot of changes. My website has been in lingo for over a week- my original site host had a server failure, which later reverted back to an old and dated version of my work. I transferred my stuff over to a different host in the meantime, and that sparked my interest in searching for a new permanent home for my work. Well, I'm pleased to announce I have found the new home of Amy's PhotoGraphix! I've been working hard on it for the past few days, and in just a few more days, it will be launched. It features a complete flash site, with automatic gallery slideshows, so all you have to do is pick a gallery, hit play, and sit back and watch! Also, the new site will showcase a lightbox feature, which will allow users to drag and drop their favorite images into the lightbox for purchase. There are more features than I've just listed, but you'll just have to wait and see! As usual, this site won't go stagnant once it's launched. I'll continue my tradition of staying updated on new events and images, which will be exhibited on various pages, especially the main home page, which will feature the newest and my most favorite wedding images. When these changes are made, the site layout colors will change as well, to match. I'm so excited about the upcoming launch! I'll let everyone know via this blog once everything is ready to go! See you in a few days!

Wedding Envy...

Up until I got hitched far away on a secluded sunset beach somewhere in Florida,... I had always wanted a Fall wedding like Georgia & Zach's. When I met her at the Wedding Festivals show back in June, she told me what her dress looked like, what her colors were, what her bridesmaids' dresses looked like... I had total wedding envy. And it happened all over again on their big day! Their wedding was a perfect start to the beautful season, and their lives together. What a wonderful day! I truly admired everyone in their families, in spite of their strong faith. Georgia and Zach are perfect examples that faith can overcome difficult times. I was honored to be a part of their wedding, and I hope that when they return from their honeymoon, they will enjoy what I've come up with!:) Here are just a few of my favorite moments... The Guys... The Girls... First Dance... The star of the show... Portrait 1 Portrait 2
